The Sanctuary is fantastic! The units are lovely and thoughtfully appointed and the grounds are stunning. We saw so many birds and animals without even leaving the property. Tawas is nearby if you are looking for shopping/dining and the state park and national forest  have great birding and hiking opportunities. The host, Sam, is incredibly  knowledgeable about birds, wildlife, local history, etc. and made us feel very welcome. My daughter and I both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return. Lori C.
